Arrrghhh! I didn’t mean to delete that!

This just saved my life…well not literally, but I had inadvertently deleted ALL of a friend’s wedding pics from my SD card without so much as opening one.

The photography tutor I learned from (or one of my tutors – let’s also give my brother his due!) said it’s usually a waste of time using the setting that saves a jpeg and a raw file for each shot. I delete all the jpegs when copying to my hard drive (saves having to see each picture twice in the photo viewer), and was starting to agree with him. But since not all the RAW files seem to have recovered successfully, I’m certainly glad there were jpegs this time!

I downloaded the Pandora software and it seems really good. In the hopes it helps someone!

Speaking of weddings, I haven’t actually announced my engagement on here (although the blog-scouring detectives among you will have noted that I referred to my boyfriend in an early post and my fianc√© later on – don’t worry, that was tongue-in-cheek). I did, however get engaged this Easter and we are now well into all that planning stuff.

I mention this in a post on file-recovery software because the wedding-pictures thing reminded me I have a dress-related testimony to put up here SOON. And once I’ve promised that in writing I’m committed to telling the story pronto. Pester me if I don’t; it’s a good one!
